This month, Triple M got behind Channel 9’s Telethon for the Children’s Hospital Appeal to ask fellow Queenslanders to assist them in their Lend a Hand Campaign to renovate Nundah Cottages.
Nundah Cottages provide a safe place for children between the ages of 0-18 who are struggling with emotional disturbance/mental illness or are likely to develop it. They provide free treatment and service for the children however, it craved for a well-needed renovation so Marto and Ed Kavalee put the call out and the trades answered.
Aussie Tree Solutions jumped right on board to help with the tree work and one of our Arborists, Alby, even dedicated his own time to help complete the job.
The workers for Nundah Cottages were pleasantly surprised after weeks of renovations and in the end, it made all the hard work worth it.
In total, over $350,000 worth of materials and labour were donated. With the help of Channel 9 and the kind heart of Queenslanders, The Children’s Hospital Appeal raised 11 million dollars!
