About Us
Aussie Tree Solutions is a Brisbane institution – helping homeowners, councils, schools, government agencies and commercial businesses maintain and manage their trees for over 35 years.
Our reputation has been built on our safety-first ethic, specialist knowledge and professional approach.
From humble beginnings, we have grown to a team of 25 skilled employees headed by Des Young, our Managing Director.
We are one of only a few tree companies in Queensland with a number of specialist Consulting Arborists on staff. This means we are backed by expert knowledge and professional experience in all that we do.
Safety is our priority
Tree felling and pruning is a dangerous occupation. We never cut corners on safety – whether that is the safety of your property, people or our team.
At each work site, our team document a site evaluation, identifying risks and implementing control measures to ensure the highest safety standards are followed.
We have documented Work Method Statements (WMS) for all worksite and high-risk activities, and our Quality Management System meets the requirements of AS/NZS ISO9001.
Every crew has a climbing arborist on the team, accompanied by ground crew to act as safety spotters and to ensure branches or trees are safely moved to the ground.
Each team member is fully trained and qualified and undergoes weekly safety briefings and skill development.
We also believe in maintaining the personal safety of our clients, which is why all our team members hold Working with Children Blue Cards and are criminal history checked.
Long-term team members
Each of our employees is fully covered by WorkCover and are paid a great wage for the dangerous work they do. Most of our team have been with us for over five years, with some of our team being with us for over a decade. This means that they are skilled, loyal and experienced.
We also have a strong commitment to training and development, and have four climbing arborist apprentices on our team at any one time. We specialise in hiring and training mature-age apprentices as we believe you can’t put old heads on young shoulders.
